We all live linear lives. Every single emotion, thought, and idea is bottled up into a single moment, a millisecond we call the present. These moments are where battles are fought, fortunes lost and dreams are realized. This single moment defines us, who we are and the very essence of us. It forces us to be who we are, it drives us ever forward towards the everlasting abyss that is the future. Yet at the same time, this forces gives us the infinite present, so we never have to confront our fears in the future. However this is a double edged sword, we are lulled into complacency in the present, not looking towards the past, or the future. We get so enamored in the present that we forget to look at the future, or the past for its valuable wisdom. This linearity is what shapes us, and how we react to this concept defines our lives.
